Human Feed does not collect any personal data, and the content of your feed never leaves your browser. The only data it transmits is anonymous, aggregate counts, which you can turn off.
Human Feed is a browser extension that runs in your own browser on linkedin.com. It reads the text of posts in your LinkedIn feed to score them for signs of AI-generated or promoted content, and hides those that exceed the threshold you choose. All scoring happens locally on your device. Post text is never transmitted.
To measure how much AI-flagged content is circulating, the extension periodically sends three running counts to our server: the number of posts scanned, the number flagged as likely AI, and the number of promoted posts hidden. That is the entire payload. It contains no post text, names, URLs, user or device identifiers, or IP-based identity. The counts are added to a global total and cannot be tied to you, your feed, or any individual post.
This is enabled by default and can be disabled with the “Share anonymous stats” toggle in the extension’s popup. When disabled, nothing is sent and any pending counts are discarded.
The extension stores your settings (filtering on or off, aggressiveness level, ad hiding, connections whitelist, hidden-post style, and the share-stats toggle) and a local tally of posts scanned and hidden. This is saved using the browser’s local extension storage and never leaves your computer.
The content of your feed is never uploaded, logged, or shared. We do not collect personal or sensitive information, and there are no accounts, no sign-in, no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no advertising, and no sale of data.
